Thank you!

Seated at the heart of the University of Rochester, the River Campus Libraries (RCL) provide more than just a place to study—they are a vibrant, trusted, and essential academic hub for discovery, connection, and inspiration.

As part of For Ever Better: The Campaign for the University of Rochester, gifts on this Day of Giving will make a direct and meaningful impact on our students and campus community. Right now, your generosity can help us in four key areas:

  • The River Campus Libraries Excellence Fund is one of the most effective ways to support the Libraries’ future and the brilliant minds of the University of Rochester. This flexible fund, guided by the Dean, allows the Libraries to respond quickly to new needs and opportunities—supporting new ideas, important projects, and time-sensitive priorities. From strengthening digital research and improving student spaces to testing new technologies, this fund helps the Libraries stay responsive, innovative, and ready to meet the evolving needs of students and faculty.
  • Our Summer Internship Program gives students invaluable experiential learning experiences and transferable skills that prepare them for boundless opportunities as they embark on a career. 100% philanthropy funded, this is a project-based program where students receive compensation including room and board for the summer.
  • We hold a leading open-access collection of texts from medieval Britain and a gold standard for scholarly editions of Middle English literature in the Middle English Text Series (METS). METS is at-risk due to government funding cuts. Your gift to the Russell A. Peck Memorial Fund for METS will ensure students at community colleges, researchers at international universities, independent scholars, and curious readers around the world can access these texts instantly—without subscription fees, paywalls, or institutional credentials.
  • The Libraries provide next-generation spaces where students can learn, experiment, and innovate. In these environments, creativity thrives when artists and scholars have access to extraordinary resources. The Art and Music Library Fund provides resources that sustain a dynamic space where visual art, performance, and scholarship intersect—supporting students and faculty as they explore, create, and interpret the human experience through artistic expression.

Gifts strengthen specialized collections, expand access to rare and distinctive materials, and support exhibitions and programs that connect the arts to campus and community life.

On the Day of Giving, every contribution, big or small, adds up to something powerful. Join us as we come together as a community and invest in the future of the River Campus Libraries.
