Our priorities

From wellness to the arts, culture to lifelong learning, we’re dedicated to building a thriving community that grows with you through every chapter of life.

• For the arts: The University’s Memorial Art Gallery impressive collection offers 5,000 years of art from around the world, plus art classes, events, exhibitions, and a Centennial Sculpture Park that’s always free and open to all.
• For music: Our Eastman School of Music presents concerts and events for the public, along with lessons and performance opportunities for all ages through Eastman Community Music School. As partners in the annual Rochester International Jazz Festival, we welcome musicians and visitors from around the world.
• For community health: From our partnerships with the Rochester City School District to a wide range of volunteer and service programming, we’re proud to support our community—and everyone who lives and visits here.
• For lifelong connections: Whether you’re diving into big ideas or exploring fresh perspectives, our lifelong learning opportunities, networks, councils, and programs offer meaningful—and fun—ways to stay curious and be part of something bigger with others who share a URochester connection.
