We’re Vocal Point—the University of Rochester’s historically female, gender-inclusive treble a cappella group. Since 1969, we’ve been bringing passion, creativity, and harmony to stages all over North America. In December of 2023, we released our latest album Wait For Me, and now we are back in the studio crafting our next album for the Fall of 2026!
Recording an album is a multi-year process of sincere dedication, and we need your help to make it happen. As a completely self-funded student organization, your support directly fuels our music, performances, and ability to share our voices to the Rochester community and beyond.

Why We’re Fundraising
Vocal Point has a tradition of recording a few songs each year and releasing an album every four years. This allows all our members to participate in the recording process and contribute to albums that capture different eras of our group. These albums are passion projects that span years of collaboration.
Your donation goes directly toward the costs of recording, performing, and sharing our music with the world. Here’s how your gift can make a difference:
- $50 → editing rate for 1 song
- $200 → mastering rate for a semester of recording
- $750 → mixing rate for 3 songs
- $1,200 → Travel for a semester of album recording

This past weekend, we won 3rd place at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) Competition at the University at Buffalo! Cailee Cinquino won the Outstanding Vocalist Award, and now we have the opportunity to earn a wild card spot in the next round.

This past weekend Vocal Point competed at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) Quarterfinals in Rochester! Our own Jess Birnbaum won Outstanding Vocal Percussion and we're so excited for the opportunity to continue our ICCA journey at Semi-Finals Competition at the University of Buffalo on 3/21.
