What is the Senior Giving Campaign?

The Senior Giving Campaign is an opportunity for graduating students to begin a lifelong tradition of annually supporting what matters most to them at the University of Rochester. Every gift, no matter the size, is important, and helps shape URochester for current and future Yellowjackets.

Will this just go into the endowment?

No. Your gift will be directed to the area(s) you choose. It will not be used to fund the University’s endowment.

Why should I give?

• To show your appreciation for the academic department, athletic team, student organization, program, or campus experience that has made an impact on your time at URochester.
• To pay it forward to future URochester students. Philanthropic support helps fund scholarships, student programs, and other opportunities that enhance campus life.
• To make a difference. Every gift counts and contributes to meaningful experiences for the University community.

Isn’t my tuition enough?

Tuition helps cover many of the University’s operating expenses, but it does not cover the full cost of the URochester experience. Philanthropic support helps fund scholarships, student resources, academic programs, campus activities, and other opportunities that benefit students throughout the year.

What are the benefits of giving?

As a thank-you for your support:

• All donors will receive
  • an exclusive Class of 2027 lapel pin to wear with their cap and gown at Commencement.
  • invitations to special donor-only events and additional exclusive perks.
• Donors who give $25 or more will receive a set of philanthropy cords to wear at Commencement, along with all other donor benefits.

Where can I direct my gift?

You can choose from a wide variety of areas across the University, including:

• Academic departments
• Undergraduate scholarships
• Athletics
• Study abroad programs
• Student experiences
• Community engagement initiatives

And the best part is, you get to choose where you make a difference!

How much should I give?

Every gift makes an impact, regardless of size.

• Gifts of $5 or more qualify for donor-only events and special perks.
• Gifts of $25 or more qualify for philanthropy cords to wear at Commencement, plus all other donor benefits.

What happens after we graduate? 

While Commencement marks the end of your undergraduate journey, your connection to the University of Rochester continues long after graduation. Stay involved by:
