What is March Matchness?

March Matchness is University of Rochester Athletics' annual fundraising competition. URochester's 21 varsity teams will compete for additional funding for their program. Thanks to a few generous donors, $25,000 in challenge dollars is up for grabs!

Are there any perks this year?

Yes! With your gift of $70 or more to any athletic team or fund through the March Matchness campaign website, you can choose to receive a limited-edition cooler bag. Your cooler will be shipped to the address you provide when making your gift. 

I don't have a favorite team, can I still participate in March Matchness? 

No problem! You can support the entire athletics program by giving to the Friends of Rochester Athletics fund.

How long is the campaign?

Three days-—it starts on Tuesday, March 24 and runs through 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 26.

If I made my gift early, will it still count toward team challenges?

Yes! March Matchness gifts made in advance of the campaign's launch still help your favorite URochester team earn additional funding from challenges.

Who can participate?

Anyone! Alumni varsity athletes, families, fans, and students.

Can I support more than one team?

Of course! You can split your gift any way you like, between as many teams as you like.

When will the top winning teams be announced?

Results from the campaign will be posted on the March Matchness website and sent via email by early April.
